Overheard in the car
Ben: Daddy, why did you roll the window down?
David: Because there was a bug inside the car.
Ben: Was it a bee?
David: No, it was just a little bug. Nothing major.
Ben: Do nothingmajors sting?

So we’ve been planning to redecorate the family room since Monique was born, and we’re finally ready to get the project started. Of course one of the key decisions (that is completely up to Monique) is the paint color. Earlier this week, we picked up some paint chips from the store and decided on one. It is kind of a rust(ish) red color, so it has some orange in it and changes quite a bit depending on the light.
When Ben got home, Monique was telling him, “…the walls are going to be red like this,” handing him the paint chip. He looked at it for a moment, with a puzzled look on his face. Then he ran into the kitchen to look at it in better light and said, “Mama, this is orange!”
Seems he has some Monique in him! I’m not sure which was funnier, the fact that he corrected her that there was some orange in the color, or that he decided to go to better light for his analysis.
