This is from a while back…

Ben decided it had been a while since he had received a present, and somehow knew chances were slim we were heading to Toys R Us that night, so he asked if we could wrap one of his toys “for a present.” So to make a project out of it, we designed some wrapping paper for the gift to himself. What better design for the gift, than pictures of the gift itself!

The funny part is when he re-wraps it and gives it to us, and then asks us to wrap it again to give back to him. Each time he opens it, he grins ear to ear.

Yesterday, I was following Ben up the stairs at bedtime… When he reached the top, he stopped, and said (all matter of fact like), “Oh… my phone,” as he fished my old BlackBerry out of his pants pocket and put it on the ledge before going to into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

And it’s about… wait for it… the laundry room! In record time (under one year), Monique finished the redecoration of our laundry room! It features… never mind, you can see the pictures of the progression here. (slideshow)

Ben was out sick from school today. Not that you would know it, he was a very busy guy (slideshow). My favorite part was when he was on his cell phone and said to us, “Please be quiet, I am on the phone.” What a weasel.

A couple months ago, we were checking out movie previews on the Quicktime site and stumbled upon the first trailer for WALL•E (the next Pixar film due out in June). Last week, I noticed that a second trailer was released and watched it as Monique was getting Ben ready for bed. After I was done watching, I went upstairs to join them. I started humming the music, to which Ben immediately responded, “WALL•E!!!” with a big smile on his face. I cannot believe that he remembered the music from a 2 minute trailer that he had heard over two months ago. Meanwhile I need Remember the Milk to remind me of nearly everything.
