After many failed attempts due to weather and illness, we finally made it to the Toledo Zoo, and it was great! With Ben’s facination with elephants, it would have been enough to just see them, but everything we saw was great. The petting zoo was filled with goats that were running full speed back and forth in their pen; it was nuts! The aquarium was so cool. I never would have thought going down there that I was going to see sharks and jellyfish! The orangutan brought her baby to the window near the people, which the zoo lady said rarely happens, so we were thrilled. Other than the elephants, Ben’s favorite part was the play area with the tunnels for him to walk around in. He is totally obsessed with tunnels, probably due a Thomas the Train overdose. He spent at least twenty minutes walking around in there!

So Ben seems to be able to use the Onstar better than I can. The other day, I had just picked up Ben from day care and wanted to call Monique at work (Adagio) to see when she would be heading home. So that Ben could hear her, I used the Onstar phone:

Onstar: Onstar ready.
Me: Call.
Onstart: Nametag, please.
Ben: Me mama!
Onstar: Calling, Adagio.

I about died laughing.

I couldn’t beleive how well things worked out at the zoo today. The weather was perfect, and unlike most visits, it seemed all the animals were out and playing. Although the games the tigers and zebras were playing were not suitable for children eyes!
