We actually came home Monday. It is good to be home. Things are where we need them and food is readily available, unlike at the hospital. Ben is doing very well. He has already seen his doctor and has another appointment for a weight check next Tuesday. We are all very tired. Just when we thing we are making headway and learning the ropes, Ben changes things up on us. He seems to be a pro at waiting for his diaper to be off before he poops. It is very exciting!
Oh yeah, we have more pictures too.

So Monique has one extra special thank you she would like to express. Her epidural was so effective that she slept through most of her labor until it was time to push. She went from 2cm to 10cm in 6 hours barely feeling a thing. If there was ever a person that they needed to make one of those Bud Light Real American Hero commercials for, it would be Mo‚Äôs anesthesiologist! At 9.5 cm, Monique woke up from a nap and asked for her lipstick so that she wouldn’t look washed out in the pictures. So here’s to you, Mr. Epidural Man!

At long last, Benjamin Michael Soranno joined our little family at 2:45am, Saturday, July 24, 2004. He weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces, is 20 1/2 inches long and has dark hair. Mom and baby are doing well and getting plenty of rest. Of course, there are pictures! Click here to see them.
Thank you to all of our friends and family, who have been so supportive over the last nine months to help us prepare for this special day!
Love,
Monique, David and Ben

2cm down, 8 to go! Everything is going well. The doctor says that Ben will probably arrive in the next week or two. There are lots of contractions, but Mo is in good spirits. The nursery is pretty much done; we feel like we are catching up with all the things we had to do. It won’t last.
I’ll post some pictures of the nursery this weekend (as long as Ben doesn’t have anything to say about it).

Hello all!
Well we have been thoroughly overwhelmed with gifts! We had two showers in the last couple weeks. The bigger of the two was at Dave & Busters. It was a blast! The generosity of our friends and family is truly amazing. Now we need to get through it all and figure out what all we have! Our living room and family room are covered with baby stuff. Somehow I don’t think that will necessarily change after we sort through it all. If you want to see some pictures of the shower, click here.
For those of you who were asking about the software used to put together the slideshow video, it is called ProShow Gold by Photodex. Click here to see the product web site.
One month to go… wish us luck!
