It wasn’t great weather for it, but I really wanted to try out the new telescope. It was warm enough, but a bit hazy. There was enough of the moon showing to make it worth while though. I was surprised that there was still a good amount of detail to look at on the moon even with the haze.
I took a picture with the digital camera. I don’t have any mounting equipment (yet), so it was a little shaky just holding the camera up to the eyepiece. Given some better nights, and some possible mounting equipment, I should be able to get some cool shots!

We had our own reason to celebrate on St. Patrick’s Day. That is, we found out that our little bean is actually our little Ben. Benjamin Michael is doing just fine. Not too big and not too small as the doctor said. We have posted some new pictures of the little guy too!

It all started almost two years ago when we thought it would be a good idea to buy an unfinished wood corner entertainment center for our family room. We excitedly brought it home, took it out of the box and read the instructions. We didn’t get passed the recommended finishing instructions that day. It was after reading that those instructions that we knew that this would be a long project. We were right! At long last, we finally put the last coat of polyurethane on it today. All that is left is to wait for it to dry an assemble it. We just finished celebrating with chocolate chip ice cream and thin mints.
Many thanks to my parents who graciously let us use the basement at their old house (which is still for sale) so that we didn’t have to live with the fumes!

Mo finally felt Bean kick three times last night. Unfortunately since Bean takes after us, a nap immediately ensued so I didn’t get to feel anything. Oh well, I’ll get my chance soon!

All the major news outlets are reporting that Bernie Ebbers, Ex-CEO of WorldCom and loser extraordinaire, will be indicted on federal charges today. According to the news, US Attorney General John Ashcroft will be having a press conference today at 1pm to make the announcement!
